Karnataka: Police Finds Skeletal Remains Of Family Of 5 Last Seen In 2019

On Friday, after arriving at the spot, the police found four skeletons in one room, while another skeleton was found in another room.It has been reported that all the evidence has been handed over to the Forensic Science Laboratory (FSL) team from Devengere and Scene of Crime Officers (SOCOs).

In a shocking incident, police in Karnataka retrieved the skeletal remains of five members of the same family from inside a house in  Chitradurga district on Friday who were last seen back in July 2019. According to the relatives, the family lived an entirely secluded life and was grappling with severe health issues, 

As per media reports, two months ago, locals noticed the main wooden door had been broken, yet the police were not notified. Further examination of the spot indicated multiple break-ins and ransacking inside the house.

On Friday, after arriving at the spot, the police found four skeletons in one room, while another skeleton was found in another room.

It has been reported that all the evidence has been handed over to the Forensic Science Laboratory (FSL) team from Devengere and Scene of Crime Officers (SOCOs). Security has been beefed up around the house as well.

The remains are reportedly suspected to be of an octogenarian couple, their elderly son and daughter, and their grandson.

However, the identities of the dead will be confirmed following forensic reports.

Further investigations into the case were underway.
