Congress president Sonia Gandhi had to cut short her trip to Shimla to fly back to Delhi where she was admitted to Sri Ganga Ram Hospital on Friday after she complained of an upset stomach.
"Mrs Sonia Gandhi was brought to the hospital today evening at 5 pm on 27th October2017. She has been found to be suffering from upset stomach. Mrs Gandhi has been admitted for observation," the hospital said in a statement.
In May, the Congress chief was admitted to the same hospital due to food poisoning.
Last year, while campaigning in Varanasi, which is Prime Minister Narendra Modi's constituency, Mrs Gandhi fell sick and aborted a road trip. She then fractured her shoulder and was moved to hospital for several weeks in the capital.
