Shiv Sena(Uddhav Balasaheb Thackery) leader Sanjay Raut reacted to Manisha Kayande's joining the Eknath Shinde-led Shiv Sena faction recently. He said that it does not make a difference to his party rather he calls such people 'kachra'.
Manisha Kayande is a member of the Maharashtra Legislative Council and was appointed as the spokesperson of the Shiv Sena party in 2016.
According to the reports, Sanjay Raut told the media, "Let it go. What difference does it make? I don't know where did she come from. I don't know where did she go. I don't know who brought her to the party. I don't know who gave her the MLC post. Such people come and go. I call them Kachra."
Manisha Kayande quit the Shiv Sena UBT faction on Sunday which came a day after Shishir Shinde, the deputy leader of the UBT faction also left the party. According to the reports Kayande was one of the most combative MLCs in the party and after her shift speculations of other women leaders and former corporators might also follow her footsteps in the coming days have surfaced.
Manisha Kayande told Hindustan Times, “The Shiv Sena (UBT) gave me an opportunity to work as its spokesperson and later as an MLC. But when most of its leaders and MLAs, including Eknath Shinde, left last year, the party leadership did not introspect on what was wrong and why people were leaving. I waited for a full year but there is still no change in the party functioning. The leadership (Thackeray) is unwilling to listen to what common party workers are saying. Therefore, I decided to join CM Shinde, who is a dynamic leader."
Kayande further spoke about UBT faction leaders without mentioning their names, “People who talk every morning criticising others, push the agenda of Congress and NCP, and speak against Hindu gods and goddesses cannot be the face of Shiv Sena.”
Manisha Kayande joined the Eknath Shinde faction of Shiv Sena after she was dismissed as the spokesperson of the UBT faction on Sunday.
