Tamil Nadu: 13 Dead After Consuming Spurious Liquor, Four Cops Suspended

Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M K Stalin also announced a relief of Rs 10 lakh each to the families of the victims.

As many as 13 people died after allegedly consuming spurious liquor in two separate incidents in Tamil Nadu on Sunday. 

Nine were killed in Marakkanam of Villupuram district while four were killed at Maduranthakam in Chengalpattu district, according to a report by India Today. Four police personnel have been suspended in connection with the incident, Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M K Stalin said. He also announced a relief of Rs 10 lakh each to the families of the victims.
