Tamil Nadu Chief Minister MK Stalin extended a generous gesture by distributing cheques amounting to a total of Rs 40 crore to support 2,000 temples under the management of the state's Hindu Religious and Charitable Endowments department, enabling them to continue their daily puja rituals.

This initiative aims to provide financial assistance to these temples, many of which face challenges in generating their own revenue. The allocated funds will ensure that these sacred places can sustain their daily puja rituals. As part of the Oru Kala (one-time) Puja scheme, each temple has received a substantial deposit of Rs 2 lakh, which will go a long way in maintaining their spiritual practices.
