Tamil Nau Health Minister Ma Subramanian announced that 100 camps will be conducted across the state on November 17 and 18 to enrol people for the state health insurance cards.
Currently, the Chief Minister's health insurance scheme has registered over 14.7 crore families, providing them with annual coverage of up to 75 lakhs for medical treatment in approved private or public hospitals.
Subramanian reportedly told Times Of India, "Over the past few weeks, we have added 7.7 lakh new beneficiaries to this list through Varumun Kapppom health camps and other special camps. "Many people have switched to nuclear families and want a separate card for themselves. Some want to enroll now."
