Tamil Nadu Startup and Innovation Mission (StartupTN) is introducing 'Startup Thamizha,' a Tamil startup reality show, with the aim of fostering an entrepreneurial spirit among the state's youth and providing a broader platform for innovation.
Similar to internationally and nationally renowned shows like Shark Tank, which have significantly increased awareness about the startup ecosystem and made it a part of mainstream culture, Startup Tamizha aims to achieve the same impact within the state.
As reported by TOI, the investors for the show will include prominent angel investors and business executives from the state. Additionally, there will be opportunities for investment available to a wider audience, extending beyond the panel of investors.
"Startup Thamizha is aimed at bringing about a cultural change in the minds of innovators and making them become employers by making optimum use of available resources and encouraging innovators as well as aspirants to take risks and shun fear of failure," Sivarajah Ramanathan, mission director and CEO, StartupTN, said, as reported by The Times Of India.
This reality television show, Startup Tamizha, will facilitate connections between selected startups and active investors while simultaneously raising awareness about startups within Tamil Nadu. Producer and creative teams have been chosen through a public tender process by StartupTN to oversee the show, which will soon be officially launched on a leading television channel.
Further details, including the panel of investors, the show's format, and the application process, will be disclosed at the formal launch event.
