NEW DELHI — A 25-year-old man was reportedly stabbed to death and his body set ablaze using dry grass and cloth in what authorities describe as a revenge act for alleged sexual exploitation in southeast Delhi's Nizamuddin, as disclosed by the police on Sunday.

According to law enforcement, the victim was accused of sexually assaulting one of the three assailants, all juveniles aged between 16 and 17. The accused individuals planned the murder in response to the alleged sexual exploitation.

"We have apprehended the three juveniles after receiving information about the incident on the night of December 23," stated a senior police officer, as reported by news agency PTI.

Upon admission by the juveniles, the police, accompanied by the suspects, reached Khusro Park, where the victim's half-burnt body was discovered. Crime scene investigators were dispatched to examine the site.

"We took custody of the body, which was sent for autopsy at AIIMS. An FIR for murder and concealing evidence of the crime was registered. The accused informed the police that the murder occurred on the night of December 21, and they attempted to burn the body using dry grass and cloth," explained investigators to PTI.
