In a heart-wrenching incident that has shaken the community, a 15-year-old Class 10 student lost his life after being set on fire while on his way to tuition in the Bapatla district of Andhra Pradesh. Shockingly, it is suspected that the innocent teenager was deliberately burnt alive, as witnesses reported the presence of petrol at the crime scene, as reported by NDTV.

The victim, identified as Amarnath, bravely fought for his life as he was rushed to the hospital in an ambulance. Despite enduring immense pain, Amarnath repeatedly uttered the name "Venky," leaving authorities puzzled about the significance of the name. Additionally, he courageously named three other individuals before tragically succumbing to his injuries at the medical facility.

Deepening the sorrow, the grieving family of the deceased student has made a distressing revelation. They allege that a 21-year-old man named Venkateswar had been harassing Amarnath's sister, and the young student had confronted him about this disturbing behavior. Shedding light on the severity of the case, Bapatla police officer Vakul Jindal informed NDTV that a murder case has been registered, indicating the gravity of the crime committed.

Authorities have wasted no time in taking action, as a case has been filed under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offenses (POCSO) Act, highlighting the potential sexual harassment aspect of the incident. As the investigation unfolds, law enforcement officials are currently interrogating the prime suspect, Venkateswar, in an effort to bring justice to the grieving family and the departed student.
