Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao would soon visit the districts where various standing crops suffered damage due to unseasonal rains and hailstorms in the last few days.
Rao directed ministers, Chief Secretary and officials of agriculture department to furnish details on the crop damage, an official release said late on Monday night.
Rao would examine the reports on Tuesday and take a decision on undertaking a tour of the affected districts, it said. The opposition BJP and Congress on Monday urged the state government to extend immediate relief to farmers who suffered losses, even as ruling BRS leader K T Rama Rao asked the party leaders to reach out to the ryots.
