Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao would visit the rain-ravaged districts of Khammam, Mahabubabad, Warangal, and Karimnagar on Thursday to inspect the damaged crops and meet the farmers.
Rao would interact with the ryots and assure them of compensation for the losses incurred due to heavy rains and hailstorms, an official release said on Wednesday night.
Rao has directed ministers, the Chief Secretary, and officials of the agriculture department to provide details on the crop damage.
The opposition Congress and BJP have urged the state government to extend immediate relief to farmers who suffered losses.
