Home Minister Rajnath Singh on Sunday alleged that as election is inching closer Congress leaders have started using all means to gather more votes.
Singh in a press conference said that offering prayers to deities are regular practice in BJP while for Congress it is just a election stunt.
"Congress leaders start offering prayers at temple when elections are approaching. They were not seen praying in temples earlier. Temples and cows can be an election issue for Congress, but it is not an election stunt for the BJP. It is integral part of our cultural life," he said at a press conference.
The assembly election is scheduled for December 7.
