Uttar Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Brajesh Pathak has asked government doctors to only prescribe medicines that are available in hospital pharmacies and directed officials to lodge FIRs against pharma company representatives found roaming in government hospitals.
If medical representatives are found in government hospitals, action should be taken immediately by filing a case and sending them to prison, Pathak said on Wednesday while inspecting the Ram Manohar Lohia Hospital here.
He directed the chief medical officer and the chief medical superintendent to ensure that government doctors prescribe medicines that are available in hospital pharmacies. Pathak also asked them to keep adequate stock of medicines in hospitals as there was no shortage of budget.
Inspecting the newly constructed Jal Jeevan Mission project in Ratanpur village of Kamalganj, the deputy chief minister said it is the dream of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath that pure drinking water facility is available to every family in the rural areas.
Pathak reached Farrukhabad from Etawah late in the evening and addressed party workers at the district office.
