Uttar Pradesh chief minister Yogi Adityanath is all set to establish state-of-the-art ‘Chief Minister Model Composite Schools’ in 57 districts of the state. As per the plan, in each of the 57 districts, one educational institution will be upgraded to Chief Minister Abhyudaya Composite School.This development comes after setting up 16 Atal Residential Schools in the state.
It hasbeen reported that the chief minister convened a a high-level meeting on Friday in abid to take a stock of the development of schools and gave necessary guidelines in this regard.
“Now, we will have to move forward in the direction of establishing well-equipped schools in every district from pre-primary to Class 12. Apart from the districts covered by Atal Residential Schools, preparations should be made to establish one ‘Chief Minister Model Composite School’ in each of the remaining 57 districts,” he said.
About the CM Model Composite Schools
Each of the state-of-the-art ‘Chief Minister Model Composite School’ has been planned to be built on a campus of 5-10 acres.As per the preliminary plans, for each standard, provision for a minimum of three sections has been made.
According to Yogi, there will also be residential facilities for the principal, teachers and other staff on the school premises.
Morever, exuding confidence on the ambitious project, the chief minister also assured that world-class infrastructure facilities should be provided in the school. Every classroom should be smart class. Besides, a robotics and machine-learning centre should be set up in each institution.
In all, 250 such best council composite schools will be upgraded at the government level, equipped with facilities like language lab, smart class, security personnel, modular science lab, robotics and machine learning lab etc. Its implementation and monitoring should be done under the chairmanship of the district magistrate, the chief minister directed.
About the science and mathematics labs
The school should be equipped with composite science and mathematics laboratory for Classes 1 to 8, modular laboratory for chemistry, physics for Classes 9 to 12, computer lab and language lab, separate libraries for Classes 1 to 8 and Classes 9 to 12.
The school campus will also accommoadate huge multiple activity hall with playground and open gym, solar panels and rain water harvesting unit, water plant, mid-day meal kitchen and dining hall, washing area, integrated arrangement of multiple handwashing units, modern fire extinguishing equipment and online CCTV cameras.
