Uttar Pradesh: Dalit Man Humiliated, Beaten Up For Helping Locals, Accused Arrested

A Dalit man in Uttar Pradesh was visiting a relative and agreed to help out a few locals with their electrical issues when an electrical lineman got furious and humiliated him and beat him up.

A man from Sonabhadra in Uttar Pradesh allegedly humiliated and beat up a Dalit man for assisting a few locals regarding their electrical issues. A video of the incident was circulating on social media following which the police arrested the accused. 

According to the reports, the accused is an electrical lineman and he was angry at the Dalit man for assisting a few locals with their electrical issues. The accused identified as Tejbali Singh Patel physically assaulted and made the victim do humiliating activities as a punishment. 

The victim was made to do sit-ups while holding his years and then he was forced to lick the footwear of the accused on his feet. 

Reportedly the victim, Rajendra was visiting his relative in the village when he helped his relatives with their electrical issues. Following that, other villagers also approached him with their own problems and Rajendra agreed to help them in return for some money for his services. 

That is when the accused heard of him and got furious and decided to humiliate and punish Rajendra. The whole incident of the punishment was captured and got circulated on social media drawing the attention of many.

Consequently, the police took action against the accused and arrested him along with filing a case against him.

Reports said that there are several videos available of the incident, in one of them the victim was beaten up while in the other he was made to lick the shoes of the accused.
