Uttar Pradesh: Govt Has Special Plan For Beneficiaries Of PM Vishwakarma Scheme

Yesterday, on the special occasion of Vishwakarma Jayanti, PM Modi unveiled the PM Vishwakarma scheme to support traditional artisans across the nation. As per media reports, 30 lakh Vishwakarmas will receive basic training while three lakh of them will go for advanced-level training.

The Yogi Adityanath-led Uttar Pradesh Uttar Pradesh government implemented the centre’s ambitious PM Vishwakarma project on a large scale. The state government is reaching out maximum efforts to involve as many ‘Vishwakarma’ (skilled persons) with the scheme as possible in the state, starting on September 17.

Yesterday, on the special occasion of Vishwakarma Jayanti, PM Modi unveiled the PM Vishwakarma scheme to support traditional artisans across the nation.

Special plan 

The PM Vishwakarma scheme is designed to provide the benefits to skilled personnel associated with 18 different trades. In a bid to meet this goal, the governmnet has decided to provide training to enhance the skills of Vishwakarma.It has been reported that the training session will be conducted by specialised trainers under the Skill Development Mission.

Besides, the basic and advanced training, the government will also provide stipends to the learners (Vishwakarmas).

The state government will provide basic training of five days to the beneficiaries of the PM Vishwakarma scheme, after verifying their skills.

Following that, 10 per cent of beneficiaries will also receive advanced-level training for finer performance. The vishwakarmas will get acquainted with new technologies and their features through advanced training so they may better satisfy customers expectations and improve their products.

Daily stipend for Vishwakarmas

As per media reports, 30 lakh Vishwakarmas will receive basic training while three lakh of them will go for advanced-level training.

Additionally, they will also receive a daily stipend of Rs 500.

Incentives in the form of Rs 15,000 e-vouchers or e-cash for toolkits will also be given to the 30 lakh Vishwakarma workers who complete basic training.

A further incentive of Re 1 per transaction for up to 100 digital transactions per month will be given to them, encouraging them to make digital purchases.

Moreover, a training certificate will also be provided to all Vishwakarmas at a convocation ceremony.
