Uttar Pradesh Govt Set For Groundbreaking Ceremony Of 8,000 Projects With Rs 6.8 Lakh Crore Investments

A total of 33 departments of UP government led by Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath are involved in the implementation of these projects.

The Government of Uttar Pradesh is set for the groundbreaking ceremony of around 8,000 projects being developed with investments to the tune of Rs 6.8 lakh crore. 

The Rs 6.8 lakh crore that are driving these projects were pledged during the UP Global Investors Summit held earlier this year.

The overall target of the investments envisioned to come to UP is around Rs 9 lakh crore.

"With Rs 6.8 lakh crore investments attracted during the UP Global Investors Summit under the guidance of UP CM Yogi Adityanath, more than 8,000 projects are ready to be implemented. Of these, over 6,000 projects are those with MoUs. The UP government has marked 8,000 MoU for groundbreaking ceremony (GBC) which are expected to generate investments of Rs 9 lakh crore," said the Government of UP in a tweet. 

Of the various sectors covered in the investments, alternative energy sources had the maximum of around Rs 1 lakh crore, higher education attracted investments to the tune of 61,000 crore, information technology and electronics to the tune of around Rs 48,000 crore, food processing to the tune of around Rs 42,000 crore, according to a report shared by the Government of UP on Twitter.

A total of 33 departments of UP government led by Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath are involved in the implementation of these projects.

Of the areas of the state, Noida has finalised 115 projects out of a total 426 memorandums of understanding (MoUs) signed during the investments summit.
