Prime Minister Narendra Modi On Wednesday revealed that his government has set a goal of making India a developed country in the next 25 years.

Addressing the inauguration of the 10th edition of the Vibrant Gujarat Global Summit, PM Modi said that in the rapidly changing world order, India is moving ahead as 'vishwa mitra' or 'friend of the world'.

Talking about the economic growth of the country, PM Modi further claimed that every major rating agencies believe that India will be among three largest economies in the world in next few years.

"The world looks at India as an important pillar of stability, an engine of growth in the global economy," PM Modi added.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi spoke about his pledge to make India 'vikshit' at the summit. He said, "recently, India completed its 75 years of Independence, and the country is now working towards its targets for the next 25 years. We have pledged to make India 'Viksit' by the time the country completes its 100 years of Independence."

PM Modi about India's ties with foreign states

The summit was attended by leaders from several countries across the world including President of UAE Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Prime Minister of the Czech Republic Petr Fiala, Mozambique President Nyusi and Timor-Leste President Jose Ramos-Horta.

PM Modi credited UAE President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan for 'high growth' in India-UAE relations during the summit.

He also mentioned that it was a proud moment for India as the African Union became a permanent member of G20 during India's Presidency.

"The world looks at India as an important pillar of stability; a friend who can be trusted, a partner who believes in people's centric development, a voice that believes in global good, and a voice of the global south," added PM Modi.
