The Delhi government on Monday has told the Centre that it will pay for water-sprinkling choppers to bring down pollution level during winters.
After Diwali, the pollution level had reached hazardous level in the national capital. Despite Supreme Court's ban order on its sale in Delhi-NCR, firecrackers were bursted.
However, on Saturday, the volume of pollutants markedly came down in Delhi with their rapid dispersion caused by a strong wind movement, a day after Diwali fireworks pushed the city's air quality into the 'severe' zone for the first time this year.
