The Joe Biden administration has voiced concern over “Beijing’s pattern of ongoing attempts to intimidate its neighbours” vis-a-vis the China-India border standoff and said the US was closely monitoring the situation. It said the US will stand with its partners and allies as the situation in the Indo-Pacific region in the wake of China’s muscle-flexing has become a talking point among global powers.
The Delhi government announced the results of its fifth sero survey, which shows 56.13 per cent people with antibodies and suggests the city could be the nation’s first to achieve herd immunity. But scientists advised caution, though the number of daily COVID-19 cases has been on a steady decline in the city.
The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) announced the schedule for classes 10 and 12 board exams, beginning May 4. The Class 10 exams end on June 7 and Class 12 on June 11. The exams for class 12 will be conducted in two shifts. Over 34 lakh students have registered this year for the two exams.
