The Sad Infinitude Of Poetic Justice

In the year 1999 and 9 months,
A great King of Terror will appear in the sky.
Fire from the sky at forty five degrees
destroys the towers of the New City.
"The blood dimmed tide is loosed and everywhere
The ceremony of innocence is drowned
The best lack all conviction while the worst
Are full of a passionate intensity.
Surely, some revelation is at hand.
Surely the Second Coming is at hand..."
"I and the public know
What all schoolchildren learn
Those to whom evil is done
Do evil in return".
