Traffic Fines? Neigh

The Centre’s hike in fines for traffic violations terrified Jatish Mistri, a resident of Odisha’s Malkangiri district, so much that he did what any fine-fearing person would do—buy a horse. He now goes to work, drops his kids to school and even takes patients to the hospital on his trusty steed. Not only has it helped him avoid hefty penalties, he is also proud of doing his bit to reduce pollution. The cherry on the dung? He saves a lot on fuel bills too.
