The Thinker (Le Penseur) Auguste Rodin (1881)
What Classic bronze sculpture.
Planned as Element of ‘Gates of Hell’, large work based on Dante’s ‘Divine Comedy’.
Bad influence On bad actors trying to look serious; corporate honchos trying to look intelligent for their publicity shots.
Not as lovely as Rodin’s heart-stopping ‘The Kiss’ (also from ‘Gates...’).

What Is
Gazumping
House-hunting? Beware of being gazumped, where a seller (or a broker) agrees on a deal with you, and then backs out for a better offer—which you’ll have to match or exceed, naturally. Not illegal, but very unethical, and not entirely uncommon. The word may derive from the Yiddish for swindling.
