What attracted Puneet Nanda, the designer of the label, to the masters was their abstract art. Whether the saris will manage to impress the customers remains to be seen. But there’s more art to look for from the design house. Later in the year, Satya Paul will be bringing in their much talked about Raja Ravi Varma collection to Delhi, after showing it at Mumbai and Calcutta. The collection has saris inspired by the Ravi Varma paintings in possession of the Gaikwads, the royal family of Baroda.
