The Afghanistan vs Netherlands clash in the ICC Cricket World Cup 2023 was supposed to be a battle between two giant killers. But the Lucknow encounter on Friday ended with the Afghans registering a comfortable win over a side that stunned South Africa earlier in the tournament. After losing the toss, the Afghans dismissed the Netherlands for a paltry 179 then chased down the target in 31.3 overs. Rahmat Shah and skipper Hashmatullah Shahidi scored 52 off 54 balls and 56 not out off 64 balls, respectively. The Netherlands innings was marred by run outs.
