Meanwhile, Bangladesh are out of the reckoning as they lost to both Pakistan and Sri Lanka in the Super 4 stage.
With India in the final, the race is now between the Lankans and Pakistan, who will meet in a virtual knock-out semi-final on Thursday in Colombo.

India have lifted the Asia Cup title 6 times whereas Pakistan have won it twice but the two arch-rivals have never met in the final of the Asia Cup.
Qualification Process:
- Sri Lanka are second in the Super 4 table and despite their 41-run loss to India, they possess a better Net Run Rate over Pakistan.
- Sri Lanka have to beat Pakistan to book their place in the Asia Cup 2023 final. If the game is a wash-out, Sri Lanka will go through on the basis of a better NRR.
- For Pakistan, they have to win to qualify for the final. Their 228-run defeat at the hands of India, have damaged their Net Run Rate (-1.892) Babar Azam's men will have no chance of making it to the final if the rain gods have their wish on Thursday.
