In Australia's Cricket World Cup encounter against Bangladesh in Pune, a moment of brilliance from Aussie Marnus Labuschagne saw the Bangla Tigers lose two wickets to run outs. Labuschagne sent back Bangladesh's stand-in skipper Najmul Hossain Shanto in 28th over when latter came dancing down the wicket to pull but only could manage to swipe the deliver and it fell to the Australian. As Bangladesh batters tried to steal a second run, Labuschagne ran and slid before throwing the ball to the keeper who cleaned up the stumps. Shanto was well short of the crease and had to walk back to the pavillion. (Match BlogScorecard | Full Coverage)

In the other dismissal, Labuschagne ran out Mahmudullah with a 'Jonty-esque' technique. As the Bangladesh batter tried to complete the second run. Marnus ran towards the ball and picked it with one hand and threw it directly at the stumps. Mahmudullah's desperate dive went in vain as he was well short of his crease.

Earlier, Australia skipper Pat Cummins won the toss and opted to bowl against Shakib Al Hasan-less Bangladesh in their ODI World Cup 2023 match on Saturday in Pune. Australia were without their influential all-rounder Glenn Maxwell and was replaced by Sean Abbott. Steve Smith has also made his way back into the team.

On the other hand, Bangladesh are also playing without their regular skipper Shakib Al Hasan, who has been out due to injury. In his absence, Najmul Hossain Shanto will be leading the team.
