Controversy and Shakib Al Hasan seem to go hand-in-hand in cricket and outside cricket too! Though this time, it isn't a cricket field but before winning the Parliament elections wherein he is seen slapping a fan. (More Cricket News)

In a video surfaced online, Shakib can be seen accidentally being pushed by a fan, that led to the former getting flustered and in turn delivers a tight slap to the individual's face.

Reports in Bangladesh suggest the incident took place outside a polling booth where Shakib had come to cast his vote. The video,  that shows Shakib angrily reacting to the fan and slapping him, really does not provide a clear picture as to why the cricketer slapped the fan.

Just few days ago, a video had appeared where it shown Shakib seated on a stage as fans gather around him for selfies. As he obliges their request of a selfie, the lack of enthusiasm around his face is palpable with suggestions that he wasn't too pleased with a crowd around him asking for selfies.

Earlier, the Bangladesh national cricket team skipper won a seat in the country's parliament on Sunday after a landslide victory in the general election boycotted by the opposition.

The 36-year-old all-rounder, who is the captain of his cricket side in all formats, beat his rival by a margin of 150,000 votes in his constituency in the western town of Magura, the district's chief administrator Abu Naser Beg said.
