The ONE Fight Night 10: Johnson vs. Moraes III on Prime Video press conference revealed what ONE Championship’s global fan base can expect in the coming months – and the news was monumental.

On Wednesday, ONE Chairman and CEO Chatri Sityodtong took to the podium at the Paramount Theatre in Colorado alongside some of the biggest names on the roster to answer questions not only about ONE’s historic debut on U.S. soil this Friday, May 5, but also its future plans.

As the groundbreaking bill at the sold-out 1stBank Center approaches, we revisit two key takeaways from the official press conference.

Winner Of Stamp Fairtex vs. Alyse Anderson Gets ONE Interim Atomweight World Title Shot

With ONE Women’s Atomweight World Champion “Unstoppable” Angela Lee taking some time away from competition, Sityodtong confirmed that there will indeed be a ONE Interim Women’s Atomweight World Title fight in the near future.

In fact, the lifelong martial artist declared that the winner of the atomweight MMA tussle between #1-ranked contender Stamp Fairtex and American standout Alyse Anderson this Friday will get a shot at the interim strap.

Sityodtong said:

“I don’t know if people know, but the winner of Alyse versus Stamp is going to get a title shot, the [ONE] Interim Atomweight World Title in mixed martial arts. So, it’s a big-stakes, high-stakes fight.”

Earlier this year, during the ONE Fight Night 8 post-fight press conference, Sityodtong rewarded #2-ranked contender Ham Seo Hee with a shot at the ONE Interim Atomweight World Title following her massive win over Itsuki Hirata

Though nothing is confirmed as of now, it looks like fans around the world could be treated to a feisty foray between the winner of Stamp-Anderson and Ham for interim gold.

Rodtang vs. Takeru In The Works For ONE’s Return To Japan

While ONE’s main focus is on executing its historic debut event in the United States this week, Sityodtong dropped some major news about the organization’s latest superstar signing, multiple-time K-1 World Champion Takeru Segawa.

Earlier today, Sityodtong revealed that Takeru and ONE Flyweight Muay Thai World Champion Rodtang Jitmuangnon will cross paths at the promotion’s return to Japan.

He said:

“That is probably the biggest kickboxing fight in a few decades. Obviously, Tenshin and Takeru was a big fight, but I think Takeru and Rodtang is literally going to be the biggest fight in decades for kickboxing.

“It’s going to blow up the whole world. A hundred percent, we’re going to go to Japan with it. A hundred percent, it will be an amazing sellout. We’re actually discussing maybe doing it at Saitama [Super Arena], a 20,000-seater.”

Whenever this kickboxing fight does go down between these two striking superstars, it will surely be an instant classic.

ONE Fight Night 10: Johnson vs. Moraes III On Prime Video

For now, though, all eyes will be on ONE Fight Night 10: Johnson vs. Moraes III on Prime Video, which broadcasts live from the 1stBank Center in Colorado this Friday, May 5.

The show is headlined by the epic trilogy match between ONE Flyweight World Champion Demetrious Johnson and former king Adriano Moraes. In addition, there are two more ONE World Championship tussles and several high-profile returns.

In one of the co-main events, Rodtang defends his belt against WBC Muay Thai International Champion Edgar Tabares. In the other co-main event, ONE Flyweight Submission Grappling World Champion Mikey Musumeci returns to defend his belt against IBJJF Black Belt World Champion Osamah Almarwai.
