New Zealand have won the toss, and will be batting first in the do-or-die series clash.

New Zealand have made a few changes to their XI, with one being forced as Fran Jonas comes in for the injured Melie Kerr, while Lea Tahuhu slots in for Molly Penfold. As for India, Harmanpreet Kaur comes back and Priya Mishra gets her first cap, with D Hemalatha and Renuka Singh Thakur making way.

We are underway at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad, and the visitors have started off on an aggressive note with Plimmer going for it from the get-go. On the other hand, her partner, Suzie Bates, has also come out firing. Both the batters have hit two boundaries each in the first two overs of the game.

New Zealand continue to be solid and have been very smart in running between the wickets, and the scorecard continues to tick along at a decent pace, with Plimmer batting on 12*, while Bates is on 19*. The White Ferns are 31 for no-loss after seven overs.

A steady start continues to grow for New Zealand at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. India have no answers at the moment with five bowler optins already used. Georgia Plimmer is batting on an unbeaten 35, while her partner Suzie Bates is on 39*.

India have finally broken through as Deepti Sharma sends Georgia Plimmer back to the pavilion for a well-made 41. Deepti sure buys Radha Yadav dinner tonight after a spectacular catch at mid-wicket. She's among the best fielders in the world, and grab just makes justice to it. However, New Zealand are still going strong with 91 runs on the board, for the loss of just one wicket in 18 overs.

One brings two for India, and this time, it is Lauren Down who has to make the long walk back, having scored just three. It was tossed up outside off and was driven back hard, straight by Bates and the ball brushes off Priya Mishra to hit the stumps, to give India a lucky break. The hosts have slowed down, with New Zealand 111 for two in 24 overs.

India are now piling on the pressure by taking wickets at regular intervals, and Suzie Bates is back to the but after scoring 58. The debutant also has picked up Halliday for just eight, and the hosts are in control now. After a good start with the bat, NZ-W will hope for Devine to deliver big.

After the loss of the fourth wicket, New Zealand have consolidated brilliantly, and the skipper Sophie Devine has lead the fightback. However, the job is long from done with 14 overs to go. Can India get a couple of wickets and stem the flow?

Radha Yadav deserves all the applause today. She’s been a live wire on the field, making incredible diving catches that are nothing short of heroic. Yadav has been crucial in three of the four wickets India has taken so far in the match.

Her fielding has been game-changing, showing just how much of an impact she brings with her energy and skill.

New Zealand cross the 200-run mark as Sophie Devine keeps the scoreboard ticking, effectively rotating the strike. Skipper Harmanpreet Singh is on the lookout for a crucial breakthrough.

And that's the first innings at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. The visitors have posted a very good total, having made 259/9 in their 50-over quota, and that will need some chasing. The hosts will need to be smart in their approach, with the surface offering something for the slow bowlers. Should be a great second innings. Sophie Devine top scored for New Zealand with 79, followed by Bates with 58. While for India, Radha Yadav was the pick of the bowlers with four wickets.

The chase is underway and India have been hit very early as they lose Smriti Mandhana for nought in her second ball. The hosts needed her to come good with a big total on the board but that's that. Yasthika Bhatia now joins Shafali Verma in the middle.

One brings two for New Zealand, and both the Indian openers are back in the hut. The hosts are in big trouble now, with Shafali being the second to go back, scoring just 11. Both the NZ-W bowlers have struck gold early on.

And now it is three. India are tottering in Ahmedabad and it is happening quickly. Lea Tahuhu has two. Yasthika Bhatia started off on a promising note, but has fallen for 12. Things are looking gloomy for India now with still over 200 to get. However, skipper Harmanpreet and Jemimah Rodrigues are still out there in the middle.

India have slowly started to fight back thanks to Kaur and Jemimah, stitching up a vital partnership as the required runs for the hosts is under 200. Still a long, long way to go but a step towards the right direction. 198 more needed from 37 overs.

More trouble for India as they have lost another. The hosts are four down now and Jemimah makes the walk back, scoring 17. Harmanpreet Kaur is losing out on partners with still a mountain of runs to be chased. Three of the four New Zealand bowlers have a wicket to their name.

The visitors are starting to quickly squeeze in the overs and India have lost control of the game, still needing 170 runs for victory with half the side back in the hut. Not much batting left in the tank, and it feels like the hosts are just delaying the inevitable.

And now they are falling like a pack of cards. The hosts are seven down now and the finish line is almost beyond reach. New Zealand have been sensational, especially their skipper Sophie Devine. Proper leader and she's led from the front with both bat and ball.

The visitors are just two wickets away from levelling the series and are just awaiting to finishing the final formalities for this one. How long can India survive - for now Radha Yadav is fighting a brave battle. She's now on 21* with Saima Thakor batting on 12* at the other end.

Radha Yadav continues to fight for India and she is now just ten away from reaching her fifty. However, the mountain is too steep for India to climb, with eight wickets down.

This is now getting slightly frustrating for the visitors as they have now, for a while, not been able to find a breakthrough to wrap up the tail, and the body language is showing. India still need 89 from 42 balls but can they bat out the 50 overs?

The White Ferns have levelled the series and the skipper truly came to the party with both bat and ball. India have been thrashed by 74 runs and the series decider will be played at the same venue on Tuesday, October 29.
