Pakistan team management went spin-heavy in the second Test with the inclusion of veteran spinners Noman Ali and Sajid Khan and they took all 20 wickets of England to help Pakistan win the match on Day 4 of the second Test.
The Shan Masood-led Pakistan team set a 297-run target for the visitors which proved more than enough with two seasons of spinners starting from the word go.
Ali and Khan were the only bowlers used in the fourth innings and both bowled 17 overs each in their long single spell. Noman Ali took eight wickets whereas Sajid Khan got only two wickets in the fourth innings.
Pakistan made 366 runs in the first innings thanks to the debutant Kamran Ghulam's gritty ton and Saim Ayub's 77-run knock while opening the batting. Aamer Jamal, Noman Ali, Salman Ali Agha and Mohammad Rizwan also added crucial runs in the end.
England were restricted to 291 runs in the first innings despite Ben Duckett's century. Pakistan included only Aamer Jamal who can bowl seam bowling otherwise they have three specialist spinners namely Zahid Mohammad, Noman and Sajid in the team for this match.
But it was only Noman and Sajid who took all the wickets. Sajid Khan took seven and Noman Ali claimed three wickets in the first innings. Sajid was adjudged the Player of the Match for his performance.
With this win, Pakistan have levelled the series and now look to win the series with another victory in the third and last Test match which will be played in Rawalpindi from 24 October.
