Bengal were all out for 228 on day 1 of the round 5 Ranji Trophy clash. Mohammed Shami, who is making his competitive return, marked his return with 10 overs and conceding 34 runs.

Arjun Tendulkar, son of Sachin Tendulkar, is currently representing Goa in the Ranji Trophy and the left-armer bagged a five-wicket haul against Arunachal Pradesh. With the fifer, he now has a century and a five-wicket haul in the Ranji Trophy, a feat his father SRT could not achieve in his 25-year domestic career.

Bihar were bowled out for 135 in their first innings as second day sees Punjab's reply.

Goa are 453/2 against Arunachal Pradesh with Kashyap Bakle still batting on 191. Goa lead by 330 runs.

Mohammed Shami has struck with his first wicket on return as he dismissed MP skipper Shubham Sharma.

Hyderabad have been dismissed for 301. Tripurana Vijay takes a five-for from this innings for AP.

With most of the international stars away for national duty, Ranji Trophy 2024/25 is missing some of the sheen but Mohammed Shami's return has made it more interesting.

KL Shrijith has notched up a debut hundred for Karnataka in their Ranji Trophy game against Uttar Pradesh in Lucknow. Karnataka now lead by 186 after bowling UP out for just 89 in the first innings of the game. Aaqib Khan and Shivam Mavi picked up three apiece for Uttar Pradesh

Mumbai’s young sensation Ayush Mhatre has scored his second first-class century in just his sixth game to help Mumbai fight against Services. Mumbai have now scored 214 runs for the loss of six wickets in pursuit to Services’ 245.

We have our first outright result of the round five fixtures with Baroda beating Meghalaya in just four sessions and also securing a bonus point. It is their fourth win in five and they are in the perfect position to seal a quarters spots from the group.
