Arsenal finished 2022 on a high securing a 4-2 win at home against Brighton. Odegaard, Saka, Nketiah and Martinelly chipped in with one goal each in their hunt for their first title since the 2003-04 season.
Arsenal did not let the World Cup break weaken their attempt at winning the EPL 2022-23 title with a 4-2 win at home over Brighton.
Captain Martin Odegaard was one of the goal-scorers alongside Bukayo Saka, Eddie Nketiah and Gabriel Martinelli.
If anyone doubted Arsenal's resolve post-World Cup, it was firmly put to rest by the Mikel Arteta-managed side as they struck two goals inside the first half. The Gunners now have a 7-point lead at the top of the Premier League table, thanks to Manchester City settling only for a draw earlier in the day against Everton.
It took Bukayo Saka just 66 seconds to net the first goal of the match, which was later doubled by Odegaard's seventh PL goal this season. Brighton did retort but fell two goals short giving the Gunners a well-deserved end to a fantastic year.
