Norway's middle distance star Jakob Ingebrigtsen continued his good show at the European Athletics Championships 2022 after winning men’s 1500m title, adding to the 5000m crown he won on Tuesday. The 21-year-old clocked 3:32.76s which is also a championship record. Reigning Olympic and world champion Nafissatou Thiam clinched her second heptathlon crown in-a-row with a total of 6,628 points. Olympic champion Wojciech Nowicki dominated the men's hammer throw final. He threw his hammer to a world-leading distance of 82.00m. Meanwhile, Italian Gianmarco Tamberi cleared 2.30m to take the men’s high jump gold. Hosts Germany lead the medal table with 12 gold while France and Italy take the next two positions with 10 yellow metals each.
