Borussia Dortmund player Paris Brunner opened the scoring before skipper Noah Darvich doubled the scoring. Saimon Bouabre scored one for France before Mathis Amougou drew the scores level which meant the game went into penalties. Robert Ramsak, Max Moerstadt, Fayssal Harchaoui and Almugera Kabar converted their spot-kicks for Germany as they won 4-3 on penalties and made sure the world title was added to their elusive trophy-laden cabinet.
