With Argentina and France set to lock horns in the World Cup final on Sunday, all eyes are on their star players Lionel Messi and Kylian Mbappe, respectively. (More Football News)

Football fans around the world are keen to know who Paris Saint-Germain backs to win the showpiece tournament. Both Messi and Mbappe represent PSG in Ligue 1 as forwards.

Well, as per reports, there have been steady communications taking place at PSG quarters with regards to the match.

As per L’Équipe, the PSG internal teams are content with their two stars being in opposing teams in the final claiming that they "are not in competition with each other", which means they do not have to face the burden of picking a side.

PSG president Naseer Al-Khelaifi said, "If I could, I would give the World Cup to both of them."

35-year-old Messi, playing his last World Cup match, is eager to win the title. It would definitely cement his legacy as the greatest footballer of all time.

Mbappe, on the other hand, is only 23 years old and on the verge of winning his second FIFA World Cup.

France won the title in 2018 after defeating Croatia 4-2 in the final, with Mbappe sealing the deal by scoring the fourth goal. Retaining the title will make France the first team to accomplish this feat since Brazil did it in 1962.
