The FIH Junior Hockey World Cup is a spectacle of new talent. Held every two years, the tournament for players under the age of 21 is the perfect platform for young stars to showcase their skills on the international platform. Players born on or after January 1, 2002, can compete. The 13th edition of this prestigious tournament will be held in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia from December 5 to 16, 2023. Founded in 1979, the tournament has seen five teams lift the trophy. Six-time champions Germany are the most successful team in the history of the tournament. Argentina and India are joint second with two titles each. Australia and Pakistan are the only other teams to have won the FIH Junior Hockey World Cup. In the last edition held in India (Bhubaneswar, Odisha), Argentina beat Germany for their second title.

Netherlands, Germany, Belgium, Spain and France (Europe); Australia and New Zealand (Oceania); South Africa and Egypt (Africa); Argentina, Canada and Chile (Americas); India, Malaysia (hosts), Pakistan and South Korea (Asia).
The 16 teams are divided into four pools of four teams each with the two top sides after the group stage progressing to quarter-finals - Pool A winners vs Pool B runners-up, Pool D winners vs Pool C runners-up, Pool B winners vs Pool A runners-up and Pool C winners vs Pool D runners-up. Teams which failed to make the knock-outs will feature in classification round and cross-over matches.
