After a turbulent season plagued by injuries and poor form, USA forward Christian Pulisic seem to have arrived at the correct destination.

The former Borussia Dortmund player was seen in Italy on Wednesday for a medical as he closes on a move to AC Milan before an expected transfer from Chelsea.

The 24-year-old Pulisic, who has one year left on his contract at Chelsea, is expected to sign a four-year deal with the Rossoneri and become the third American to play for the club after Oguchi Onyewu and Sergiño Dest.

“I’m very happy to be here. I’m excited. I’m excited to start with this historic club,” Pulisic told reporters waiting for him at Milan’s Malpensa airport. “It’s legendary and I’m really excited to come here and try to win some titles here.”

He even posted a video message for the AC Milan fans. He said, "Hi AC Milan supporters, just arrived in Milan, am so excited to be here and can't wait to get started."

Pulisic has played 60 times for the United States, scoring 25 goals. The Pennsylvania native helped the squad reach the last 16 at last year’s World Cup in Qatar.

Pulisic joined Chelsea from Borussia Dortmund in a £57.6m move in 2019 that made him the most expensive player from North America. He scored 26 goals in 145 games for the Blues and played in the 2021 Champions League final win over Manchester City.
