ONE Championship is back with another exciting card for its weekly Asia primetime event at Lumpinee Boxing Stadium.
ONE Friday Fights 28 will take place on August 11 at the iconic venue in Bangkok, Thailand, showcasing 10 quality Muay Thai contests and a pair of MMA battles to open the show.
In the main event, Kongsuk Fairtex will take on Jaosuayai Sor Dechapan in a flyweight Muay Thai encounter.
Two-time Lumpinee Stadium Muay Thai World Champion Kongsuk looked impressive in his debut ONE win over Paidang Kiatsongrit at ONE Friday Fights 21, and another victory would put the division’s top contenders in his sights.
Jaosuayai also made a stunning entry into the organization when he knocked out Petsukumvit Boi Bangna in the first round of their ONE Friday Fights 20 headliner. His powerful punches were too much that night, and he’ll hope for a similar result against Kongsuk in his second straight main event.
There are plenty more knockout artists on the bill, including Suriyanlek Por Yenying and Jack Apichat Muaythai, who both scored first-round stoppages in their ONE debuts.
This week, they’ll meet Songfangkhong FA Group and Pentor SP Kansart Paeminburi, respectively.
Yodphupa Wimanair is also back in business and looking to extend his perfect 4-0 ONE Friday Fights record.
The 19-year-old Muay Thai phenom will face Belarusian striker Antar Kacem in a rematch of their exciting battle back in June that ended in a split decision.
In the MMA bouts, rising stars Sanlang Gexi and Dave Bangguigui will duke it out at strawweight, while unbeaten Noelle Grandjean returns against South Korea’s So Yul Kim at atomweight.
