ONE Friday Fights 34: Rodtang vs. Superlek will feature one of the biggest Muay Thai fights in history, but the Asia primetime card on September 22 is also stacked from top to bottom.
While most of the fanfare rightly surrounds the ONE Flyweight Muay Thai World Title clash between defending king Rodtang Jitmuangnon and challenger Superlek Kiatmoo9, a slew of other exciting Muay Thai, MMA, and kickboxing battles are set for Lumpinee Boxing Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand.
The crowd will build to a crescendo for the massive World Champion vs. World Champion main event between Rodtang and Superlek.
“The Iron Man” has been unstoppable during his tenure in the world’s largest martial arts organization, but flyweight kickboxing king and #1-ranked flyweight Muay Thai contender Superlek is his biggest test yet.
Fans have waited patiently for “The Kicking Machine” to get his World Title shot against his friend and compatriot. Their matchup is finally coming to fruition, and it pits two superstars at the peak of their powers against each other for the biggest prize in Muay Thai.
Seksan Or Kwanmuang has delivered nothing but thrillers in ONE Friday Fights to date, and after winning a six-figure contract in his last outing, the four-time Muay Thai World Champion will return at the biggest card yet.
This time, “The Man Who Yields To No One” will face off against tough Malaysian-Iranian striker Amir Naseri in a 140-pound catchweight battle to prime the audience for the main event.
With 11 Muay Thai World Champions littered across the lineup, there’s plenty of other elite action in store for fans.
Those showdowns include Muangthai PK Saenchai vs. Yodlekpet Or Atchariya and Kulabdam Sor Jor Piek Uthai vs. Tyson Harrison – both of which will showcase some of the sport’s brightest stars.
ONE Interim Strawweight Muay Thai World Champion Prajanchai PK Saenchai is also set to return, although his gold won’t be on the line.
Instead, the PK Saenchai representative is moving into kickboxing, where he’ll face off against Akram Hamidi, who’s won three World Titles in the sport.
A pair of exciting MMA contests will open the show.
Seasoned ONE competitors Chen Rui and Shinechagtga Zoltsetseg are scheduled to meet at bantamweight after explosive strikers Lito Adiwang and Adrian Mattheis kick off the proceedings at strawweight.
