Bollywood actress Anushka Sharma was seen hugging her husband Virat Kohli and consoling him after the match was finished. KL Rahul's wife Athiya Shetty was also there with them.

Like every other Indian cricket fan, players were also going through heartbreak. At that time, many Indian cricket legends including the likes of Master Blaster Sachin Tendulkar and Yuvraj Singh took on their social media and wrote consolation posts for Indian players appreciating their efforts and commending the team for their spirited campaign in the tournament.

Sachin Tendulkar was present in the stadium and he rushed to soothe the hurting members of the Indian National Cricket Team when the match finished. Tendulkar was spotted with disappointed looks around head coach Rahul Dravid, Virat Kohli and captain Rohit Sharma as he did a consolation talk to them.

Yuvraj Singh, a former all-rounder, congratulated the squad on their fantastic World Cup journey. Despite the dismal outcome, Yuvraj advised the players to be optimistic and look forward to the next competition. He also congratulated Rohit Sharma on his leadership and Virat Kohli on his Player of the Tournament award.

Indian players gave their best on Sunday, but the result could not come in their favour. They were the only unbeaten team throughout the competition, but they faltered in the finals. Australian opener batter, Travis Head hit 137 runs in 120 balls in the finals. Australian National Cricket Team outperformed the Indian Team in all departments and that resulted in their sixth ICC Cricket World Cup title triumph.
