Australia's chase against India Women's National Cricket Team in Mumbai on Day 3 of the pair's one-off Test got a little more interesting, thanks to Aussie batter Beth Mooney's hilarious brain-fade moment. Mooney, opening the Australia innings as they looked to chase a mammoth 187-run target, surrendered her wicket cheaply; she meandered out of her crease after hitting a shot straight to Richa Ghosh and paid the price for lack of attention. Debutant Ghosh, meanwhile, showed incredible awareness to not only thwart Mooney's shot but to capitalize on the smallest of windows of opportunity. Watch the moment unfold here:
Thanks to productive spells from Pooja Vastrakar and Sneh Rana, the India Women's National Cricket Team had restricted Australia to a 219 total in the first innings. The Women in Blue, on their turn, surged past the 400 runs mark, Deepti Sharma, Smriti Mandhana, and Jemimah Rodrigues all scoring over 70, before sending their opponents back to the crease to chase the total.
