India followed up a sparkling Day 6 with an achievement-filled Day 7. Though the Indian contingent only added five more medals as against the previous day's eight, there were a number of historic performances in challenging competitions where India doesn't usually bag medals. For instance, Sutirtha Mukherjee and Ayhika Mukherjee played out of their skins to stun the world champion Chinese pair of Chen Meng and Wang Yidi and confirm India's first-ever table tennis women's doubles medal at the Asiad. Later, the men's badminton team scripted history by entering the final of the Asian Games for the very first time. (Medal Tally | Schedule | Streaming Full Coverage | More Sports News)

The country's trap shooters will also be in action and would want to win more medals at the event. In athletics, Avinash Sable will be in action and is expected to win a medal in his pet 3000m steeplechase event.
