There were no major suprises in the list of 28 probables for the 2026 FIFA World Cup Qualifiers announced by Indian football team head coach Igor Stimac on Friday. Most key and senior players like Sunil Chhetri, Sandesh Jhingan and Gurpreet Singh Sandhu are part of the probables list. (Football News)

The squad named is for the first two matches of Round 2 of the 2026 FIFA World Cup Qualifying and AFC Asian Cup Saudi Arabia 2027 Preliminary Joint Qualification.

India will take on Kuwait in their opening Group A fixture at the Jaber Al-Ahmad International Stadium in Kuwait City on November 16, before returning home to face Qatar at the Kalinga Stadium in Bhubaneswar on November 21.

India will travel to Dubai on November 8 for a preparatory camp before the qualifiers.

Below is the list of 28 probables for the matches against Kuwait and Qatar:
