India Vs New Zealand, 3rd T20I - Shubman Gill's Maiden T20I Century Steals The Show In Ahmedabad - In Pics

There was no stopping Shubman Gill in Ahmedabad after India won the toss and elected to bat first. Despite losing Ishan Kishan early on, Gill ensured that he stayed at the crease, powering India to 234. The India opener, who has had a great start to the year, played shots to all parts of the Narendra Modi Stadium. His innings comprised 7 sixes and 12 fours. Michael Bracewell bowled the second over of the Indian innings and struck immediately removing the out-of-form Kishan. Rahul Tripathi joined Gill at the crease and got to scoring runs instantaneously, at one point striking Lockie Ferguson for a four and a six in consecutive deliveries. Just when Tripathi looked like scoring a well-deserved half-century, Ish Sodhi worked his magic to send India's No. 3 back. This day, however, belonged to Gill. His century came off just 54 deliveries, as he went on to score 126 off just 63 balls. The Punjab batter now has the highest individual score by an Indian batter in T20Is.
