India recovered to post 266 against Pakistan in the Asia Cup on Saturday. Earlier, Rohit Sharma had won the toss and elected to bat first despite the overcast conditions.

Ishan Kishan (82) and Hardik Pandya (87) revived India's innings with a 138-run stand off 141 balls after losing the first four wickets for 66 runs. Kishan and Pandya's partnership kept Pakistan bowlers at bay to give their side a fine chance to make a winning start to the tournament.

Shaheen Afridi was the stand out bowler for Pakistan, ending with figures of four for 35 in 10 overs. Haris Rauf and Naseem Shah picked three wickets each as Pakistan spinner struggled to get a grip in the game.

Indian batters failed to put a decent show as Pakistan pacers ran through the top-order. If it wasn't for Hardik and Ishan, India would have been in bigger trouble.

Brief scores:
India 266 all out in 48.5 overs (Ishan Kishan 82, Hardik Pandya 87; Shaheen Afridi 4/35).
