Gujarat Titans and last-over thrillers continue to go hand in hand as the side inched past Rajasthan Royals in a nail-biting Qualifier 1 on Tuesday night to enter the final of IPL 2022. When GT needed 16 off the final over, it seemed like anyone's game but David Miller (68 not out off 36) weaved his magic to put another close contest in the bag of the IPL newbies. He hit Prasidh Krishna for three back-to-back sixes to help Gujarat cruise into the final. Riding on Jos Buttler's 89 and Sanju Samson's 47 off 26, RR had posted 188/6 in 20 overs. In return, they reduced GT to 85/3 in 9.3 overs and kept it tight until the second-last over after which Miller went berserk and killed the entertaining contest in just three balls. Meanwhile, his partner Hardik Pandya (40 not out off 27) also played a crucial role in the victory as the player stitched an unbeaten 106-run partnership with him for the fourth wicket.
