Royal Challengers Bangalore defeated Rajasthan Royals by 4 wickets to register their second win of IPL 2022 on Tuesday. A target of 170 looked big enought to chase when RCB found themselves at a precarious state of 87/5 in 12.3 overs, needing 83 off the final 45 balls, but a 67-run partnership between Dinesh Karthik and Shahbaz Ahmed turned the game on its head. While Shahbaz fell on a 45 off 26, Karthik stayed till the end to take RCB home with an unbeaten 44 off 23. Earlier, it was Jos Buttler's fighting 70 not out off 47 balls that had helped RR post a fighting total of 169/3 on the board on a sluggish Wankhede pitch that played well under the dew in the second innings.
