December 6 began with New Zealand in trouble against Bangladesh in the pair's second Test match and ended with India Women's defeat against England in their first T20I. 11:15pm: Mohun Bagan come from two down to rescue a point against Odisha 

MBSG remain unbeaten in the Indian Super League, but they are no longer on a perfect run. Having conceded twice early, they did, however, fight back to rescue a 2-2 draw. 

11pm: England beat India Women by 38 runs 

The Women in Blue gave a hearty chase but fell short in the end by 38 runs. England, two ranks above India in the T20I listings, take the first T20I of the three in Wankhede, Mumbai.

After getting bowled out for a paltry 172, Bangladesh have come roaring back with an inspired bowling performance to reduce New Zealand to 55/5 on day one of the second Test. Previous match's heroes Mehidy Hasan Miraz and Taijul Islam did the damage again, picking up three and two wickets respectively.

In a glorious ascent, India leg-spinner Ravi Bishnoi has claimed the top spot in the ICC Men's T20 International bowler rankings, dethroning Afghanistan's Rashid Khan. The Indian junior men's hockey team kicked off its FIH Hockey World Cup 2023 campaign with a 4-2 win against South Korea in the afternoon. Meanwhile, the knock-out line-up was finalized in Vijay Hazare Trophy. Mumbai, Vidarbha, Tamil Nadu and Karnataka have joined Haryana and Rajasthan in the quarter-finals and Kerala, Maharashtra, Gujarat and Bengal will play the pre-quarter-finals. In Pro Kabaddi League, Gujarat Giants edged out U Mumba 39-37 in a close encounter.
