Indian men's junior hockey team lost it's match against Spain in the FIH Men's Junior Hockey World Cup 2023. The Legends League Cricket will conduct an "internal investigation" after former pacer S Sreesanth on Thursday alleged that ex-India teammate Gautam Gambhir had called him a "fixer" during a match, and if evidence of misconduct is found against the latter it would be "dealt with strictly". The two World Cup-winning players were involved in a heated exchange during an Eliminator match between LLC teams Indian Capitals and Gujarat Giants on Wednesday. Read more here

India men's junior team have lost their FIH Men's Junior Hockey World Cup encounter to Spain 1-4. 

7:23pm: Qatar Football Association Fires Head Coach Carlos Queiroz Ahead Of Tournament
Carlos Queiroz was fired as Qatar's head coach just over a month before the nation hosts the Asian Cup. Queiroz, former coach of Real Madrid, Portugal and Iran, was appointed on a four-year contract in February after Felix Sanchez left the position. Sanchez was in charge at the 2022 World when Qatar, as host, lost all three games. Read more here.

5:53pm: Racist Slur Used On Scorecard During Warm-Up Cricket Match Compels CA To Apologize
The appearance of a racial slur on the scorecard during Pakistan's four-day warm-up match in Canberra has compelled Cricket Australia (CA) to issue an apology. Pakistan are taking on the Prime Minister's XI at the Manuka Oval ahead of their three-match Test series against Australia, starting December 14 at Perth. Read more here.

It's official. The second day of the second Test between Bangladesh and New Zealand has been called off due to rain.

1:20pm: BAN Vs NZ: Still Raining In Mirpur
No play has been possible on the second day of the second Bangladesh vs New Zealand Test. It is still raining, and resumption of play today seems unlikely. 

11:30am: Nadal Raring To Go
Less than a week after announcing his return to the arena, Spanish tennis titan Rafael Nadal has downplayed concerns about how he will fare, stating that he is simply happy to be back and that he "doesn't care" what level he will be at when he plays the Brisbane International and then the Australian Open in January next year. After an engrossing first day that saw 15 wickets falling, the second day of the second Test between New Zealand and Bangladesh is yet to begin amid intermittent showers.
